AutoCAD Electrical 2016 .NET Framework error

While installing Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical 2016 i get an error: .NET Framework 4.5 installed. AutoCAD Electrical 2016 cannot be installed without this component. See your system administrator for more information.

I successfully installed .NET Framework 4.5 before trying to install AutoCAD, i'm using Windows 10 so this might be the probem.

I am afraid Windows 10 comes with a newer version of the .net framework which isn't compatible with our installers at this time

Same problem I am facing, unable to install Autocad Electrical 2016 on Windows 10. Windows 10 comes with .Net 4.6 which is not being rcognized by the Suit Installer.

Would appreciate anyones suggestions on how to bypass this issue.

I have the same issue under win7 .NET 4.5, 4.5.1 and 4.6..

I tried to install .Net 4.5.1 manually, but the installer stopped.

Any ideas to solve this problem?

The problem is that the installer doesn't recognize the 4.6 version of the .net framework. You may be able to workaround the issue however by modifying the "version" registry entry in the registry key found at HKLM\Software\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Client. If you switch that version number to 4.5 that should trick the installer into thinking you are the appropriate version, just remember to switch the value back to the 4.6 version number when you are done.

I have tried to change version but it is saying can't change the contents

Hello, I am also having a similar issue in that I cannot change the registry value to 4.5.

I look forward to a solution, however I understand that Windows 10 will incur plenty of compatibility issues.

How can I modifying the "version"?? If I try to swith the version I get a notice "version can not edit".

Try editing the owner of the registry folder and switching it from trusted installer to your account. That should allow you the permissions to make the change.

when i try to change permissions windows security is not allowing it to do.
plzz suggest me how to manuplate that windows secutity too. and i am using
kaspersky internet security antivirus is this cause any problem to change

While a nice work around, AutoDesk should really work on getting an update issued. It isn't like Win10 just suddenly appeared.
