The thing is, Autodesk installs are custom for each user, so there would be required files that would need to be installed into that users profile and HKCU registry. Even if you could get it installed outside of their account, it would still require additional installation completion for that user the first time that they'd login and try to use the product.

If you push a silent install with their GPO login script, you might get closer to what you are wanting.

Installing Revit 2022 with user logged off

Hello,

We are using a sccm like systems to manage our infrastructure and since Revit 2021 with the new installer, we have never been able to install Revit 2021 or 2022 with the user logged off. We used to use the SCCM script provided with the creation of the deployment but it’s not provided anymore.

I have tried multiple ways to install Revit :

-Copying Revit locally on the machine, running the setup.exe with commands Setup.exe -i install --silent ran from the system account, local admin account or domain admin account

-Running a batch file has system accounts, local accounts or domain account with commands to install from a network path

It seems like the process installer.exe cannot be run if the user is not connected.

All the installation method mentioned above works if i am logged in and i see the installer.exe doing its thing in the processes.

We need to install this on 300 workstations. You can imagine that i can't do it one by one and have to user or a local admin logged-in on all the computers. With Revit 2023 coming and 2022 not even deploy, this is going to be a nightmare.

Hope this is clear, if not, i can add more details and re-explained. I have spent many hours trying things but i seem to touch a dead end at this point. Please help!

I see a problem with that : Administrator Rights.

The login script is launched as user, not as administrator. You need admin rights to install Revit 2022.

I disabled the UAC, same problem.

Dead-end again!

The Autodesk deployments can only go so far... You'll need to make adjustments within SCCM such as setting the Logon Requirement to "Whether or not a user is logged on"

Here's more info: Create applications - Configuration Manager | Microsoft Docs

You could try the Startup-script or Shutdown-script - those are run under the System account. I would use the Shutdown script, since installing the stuff is a time-consuming event.
