Hi,

I have windows 10 and Maya 2016 installed, once I try opening hypershade, no windows appear and no errors found.

Hi Jeffmd,

I would suggest checking your Graphics Drivers and updating those to see if that fixes the issues. Also what graphics card do you have? Please make sure you update to the latest Service Packs available for Maya. Let me know if that helps you out, if not a case has been created via the forums in which I can futher help you with this issue.

Thank you for letting me know, is there any way you can save me a screen grab of exactly what you are seeing (or not seeing in your view port? This way I can better identify which part of the hypershade is not working. And if it is not loading at all, then you might have to reset your User preferences by deleted your preference folder, here is a link if you don't know where that is located or how to go about reseting the prefs. folder : reset maya prefs. Also another issue may be if you had been working with dual or more monitors and your hypershade window may be off-screen. Let me know if any of the above is of any help.

just follow the instruction and you should get your windows back

thanks for the help. Worked fine once I renamed the preferences and reloaded maya creating new default preferences

Same problem. Whenever I try to launch the Hypershade, a completely blank window pops up and locks up my system. The task manager is the only way to kill the application.

I tried changing my prefs folder by altering the name and though a new prefs folder was created, it didn't fix the issue. I also tried variants of the MEL command to no avail. I don't expect the casing to matter but thought to try it out, just in case (no pun intended):

window -tlc 0 0 "hypershade";
window -tlc 0 0 "Hypershade";
window -tlc 0 0 hypershade;
window -tlc 0 0 Hypershade;

My guts::

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
Intel Core i7-6950X CPU @ 3GHz x 20
Intel C610 C610 series/X99 chipset
Nvidia Titan X (Pascal)

Updates were run on the above and the issue remains the same. This was working earlier so I'm at a loss about what's happening.
