Maya - Upgrading from student version

Hello,

are there some upgrade discount from a student version of Maya to the full version?

I've seen permanent version are still available for a short time.

If someone owns a student version, once the 3 years license expires and he wishes to continue using the software as an hobbyst (not gaining any money from his work), what are the options?
