Hello again @stephanie.egger

Bad news...Problem persists with the Educational version.

I was trying to double check today to try see why on one account it works and on others not and I noticed that may account and those of two other students where Energy Analysis is not working do not have Revit 2016 displayed under Products in Account Management.

See printscreen below. I have Revit 2014 listed and but 2016 which I am using frequesntly is not there. As a matter of fact I can not even get any updates. The other two students do not have any listed Revit there as 2016 is the only version they installed

Maybe this is related maybe not but definitly worth checking

This should push the license generation back through. Let me know if you see any difference. Just thought it might be reason why Energy Analysis is not identifying those licenses when envoked through Revit 2016.

I will send that note and try again after Revit 2016 shows on the Account management...If Energy Analysis works then the above would be the reason. (Just thought you guys might have a short cut or easy access to verify it but I guess one would still have to go throught the process lol and I'm not even doing it for me!)

@stephanie.egger it was still is working fine for me on Revit 2014...

Problem only surfaced with Revit 2016 thats when I noticed that none of us (myself and several of my students) actually have 2016 shown on the account management - hence, thought if its ID/License related it could be the reason EA not working. (Energy Anaylsis is ID/License dependant I think)

In the meantime I did send the ticket to Education Community as Matt recommended too. If something knew comes up I will update this post (I just hope it would be a general fix that applies to everyone)

Hello again @stephanie.egger @matthew.d

I think this will be the last update to this post...Got good news. After writing yesterday to Education Community as using the form @matthew.d provided,Education Commity replied today to the request and resolved the issue with Revit 2016 which now shows on my Account Management.

I ran Energy Analysis on a sample model using Revit 2016 to verify and it now works perfectly now. Seems the above resolved or whatever they did at EC...having the Revit 2016 License showing in my account resolved the Energy Analysis issue. (PS: Now I can even see the Revit 2016 updates and service packs which were not there before)

LINK TO EDUCATION COMMUNITY SUPPORT REQUEST

I am not sure if this will be a fix for all Educational accounts or each will have to go through the same process...just wrote back to EC inquiring. In the meantime I will redirect colleages and students to this post.

Again thanks for your support and hats off for Education Community; I really wasn't expecting their reply overnight with the workload which they have.

My Account this morning - Hurray! Revit 2016 is now showing

Running Energy Analyisis After Revit 2016 License showed up on my Account
