Problem installing Autocad for Mac

Hi!

I'm trying to instal Autocad for Mac on a Macbook Pro Retina with El Capitan 10.11.4 .

When i'm installing Autocad at the end of the installation, appear this message "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail".

How can i solve it?

Sorry to hear about the issue. Have you tried downloading from the virtual agent?

Thanks for the reply.
I tried to install the 2014 version of Autocad that i had installed on my old MacBook White 2009, and that time everything went ok, on my new MacBook and the result is the same as the 2016 version. Now i'm trying to download 2014 version from virtual agent and then i will try to install it.

Nothing...same problem with Autocad 2014 download from virtual agent.

To jump into TMP folder you can use menu Go in Finder : switch to Finder, select menu Go -> Go to Folder, type /tmp and pick on OK - you are inside TMP folder.

I delete all items in /tmp and re-install Autocad...always same message. 😞

You can find install log at the following place:
/var/log/install.log
As with TMP folder you can use Go to folder menu in Finder to reach /var/log folder.
Install.log file could be very large in size, so compress it before attaching.

Please, double check that Autodesk 360 is not running (and installed) on your Mac. From the INSTALL.LOG file I can see that the problem with installation occurs at the moment when Autodesk 360 installation starts.

Ok...now i can't check it, but i tried to install autocad after i uninstalled autodesk 360, and same error....later i will make another check and attempt....in another post i read that a solution is make a time machine backup and then re-install the OS....what do you think?

If you have Autodesk 360 running on your Mac - you need to REMOVE (uninstall) it before installing AutoCAD, because it prevents you from successful AutoCAD installation. For the instructions look here:

About Time Machine solution - I wouldn't began to be engaged in it.

So, i unistalled everything about Autocad and autodesk 360 with the app AppCleaner,deleted also in Login Items, i restart the Mac, try to install but the message appear another time.

now?

I'm the only user....i think i'm the admin....before start installation ask me to insert the password, so i think i'm the admin....what can i do to be sure?

You can check your account in Users pane of OS X System Preferences. But I believe, you are Admin.
Have you tried to create (just for test, you can remove this account later) new Admin account, login to it and start AutoCAD installation?
