DirectX Runtime Failed Failure is ignored, Result=1619

Hi experts,

Need some help here. i'm trying to install autocad mechanical 2012 to my desktop (64-bit). I've read previous solved problems similar to mine. But none is exactly the same problem as mine.

I've tried looking into autodesk virtual agent, but download link for autocad mechanical 2012 is not there. the download link only available until autocad mechanical 2013.

I'd appreciate any help.

It looks like you are seeing Error 1619 while trying to install a program. The following article(s) should help you resolve the problem:

Downloading Previous Versions of Autodesk Software Using the Virtual Agent (Please be sure to disable your firewall and anti-virus before downloading)

Autodesk program installation fails

BIM 360 Add-in install error: "A newer version of this software is already installed"

The 2012 version is retired/unsupported anymore so you will not find any "live" download links.

Your installation is failing on netframe 4.0 and the Autodesk content services.

Is this a new machine? What is the operating system? Hopefully its not Windows 10, because its not supported.

Most likely you have a newer version of netframe on this pc. I would start there...

My current computer already installed with netframe 4.5. For Autocad Mechanical 2012, it required the netframe to be 4.0.

So, I made some changes to the setup.imi file based on solved problem from this forum. And the installation worked quite well up to 85%, then this error popped up.

I'm using windows 7,btw.

You need to uninstall .net frameworks from your machine and let the Autodesk software install it.

Install .NET Framework Runtime 4.0 Failed Installation aborted, Result=1603

Your product is failing to install because the prerequiste program required by the installer is failing prior to the installation of your Autodesk software.

If the prerequisite program already exists on your computer, it is likely newer than the one the Autodesk installer is attempting to install. Please uninstall the prerequisite program causing the issue and run your installer again.

If the prerequisite is not already installed and installation still fails, then you may need to make an advanced edit to the setup.ini file to ignore the error. Please make sure you manually install the prerequisite file from Microsoft and then modify the setup.ini file accordingly.

I've uninstalled my net framework 4.5. And i start over the Autocad installation process, then this error popped up at progress of 6 of 12.

I clicked "OK" and the installation resumes. Does this error affect anything?

But, the good news is... the installation is finally completed.

The main issue was related to .net framework which is why I asked you to uninstall and let the software install it which seemed to work. In regards to the error message you just received, its nothing you have to worry about as @TravisNave pointed out. The service that failed is used for scanning your pc or network share to index blocks and other content for importing into your model. <-- Most people don't use it or even know what it does.
