Yes, all that looks good. I already downloaded the software and created a network install for lab imaging purposes. On the lab, when you open autocad or revit it throws that error when it checks the license, but when it is done it also appears that it is licensed and I haven't seen anymore errors after the fact. Just wondering if I can ignore it and go on.

Just installed 2017 in a lab and am getting this error when it checks the license and registers. Still get the email that says thanks for registering and it appears to be registered in Manage License on the system.

If your serial number is registered as Network licenses to authenticate with the license manager, then you'll need to choose "Network" during the initial startup of the application. If you no longer get this page when launching the application, edit the LGS.data file within the following folder:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\<productkey>_2017.0.0.F

Change the contents of the file to _NETWORK

Save the file and launch the application again. < This time choose Network

It's a multiseat stand alone license or whatever it's called. No network license server. Authenticates over the internet.

Like I said though, it totally acts like it is registering, does the welcome email and all. Just don't want the teachers flipping out with problems an a month if it's not right.

If you log into your Autodesk Account site, does it show you having access to the software? By default, the person who purchase the software is allocated a license. If that you, then you should already have access...

Yes, you can ignore them. Remember you can't over use licenses in this model, because it's based on user sign in. The emails can get annoying, which you can reach out to Autodesk regarding them and they will force the emails from sending every time.

UPDATE:

Make sure you install all of the updates for the application. That may resolve the emails and notifications you're getting... If not, here's a link to Autodesk Chat/Email

Sorry, now I understand what happened! You installed the software onto a single machine, signed in as yourself or a general user, then built an image of that machine. This breaks the activation code, because the NIC cards are different on each machine and that's how the request codes are generated.

Senerio #1:

If the software you purchased is are named users, you will need to delete the following from each machine:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ADUT\ProdInd_UserInd.cur

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\FLEXnet\ADSK...

When they launch the application they will need to sign into the software as themselves. Which means you'll need to give them access if they don't already.

Senerio #2:

If the software is for educational purposed, you'll have to delete the licensing information from C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\FLEXnet\ where the file names will begin with "ADSK"... Each machine will need to be reactivated.

Found it in the root of ProgramData, the reason I didn't see it before though is that I guess it isn't created until the program is opened and I never opened it in the image.
