BIM360 & ACC - License Count

How do I calculate how many licenses my Company has left?

I searched but did not see a solution. I did see a 2020 post stating that there isn't a good way to check back then. Has Autodesk given us the raw data to calculate license counts?

I definitely have not found the table where I can identify users that are bringing their own license.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can monitor your current license information for each product in Autodesk Account.

Sign in to your account at manage.autodesk.com.
Under All Products and Services, find your product.
In the product tile, click View Details.
If you see License Details on the product details page, select it to display your serial number and product keys.

What type of license?

Do you have them all assigned?

I am trying to deactivate users that we no longer need in ACC Build or BIM 360. We don't have a regular purchased license setup. I've been told by Autodesk that we have a license agreement with them.

I am trying to find the users that have actually brought over their own licenses. I am using Power BI and the ACC Data Connector. Do you know how I figure out what members have external licenses?

I've also noticed that when users login using the Build Plaingrid App, the Last Login Date in the database doesn't get populated.

Any information would be appreciated!

That won't help @eb8248 if he looking for outside purchased licenses:

Do they have a network license? To use the LMTOOLS?

Thanks a lot for posting your question to the forums!   As far as i know, the login info is only captured and reported when a user is logged in via the web and not a mobile device. Concerning the external users who bring their own license, im tagging @gareth.spencer1 , who is more up to speed on all this than me and can advise accordingly on reporting.

Hi @eb8248 ,

Previously in BIM 360 you could use the Account Admin Analytics dashboard to review the members and the services being used.

A few people have mentioned about network licenses, but ACC does not work with network licenses. So, you cannot report using LMTOOLS. I would suggest whoever is your Autodesk accounts manager who looks after your licenses to log into their Autodesk account and check under the user management and see which products have assigned seats.

You can use the Insights inside ACC to export out the Data Connector information to capture all the administration information such as users, projects, and much more. But I am unaware if you can report on those who bring their own subscriptions.

I have not done this myself as I don't look after out licenses but from the insights within the Autodesk account portal, you can report out information such as products and users. You can then export the information out and report using things like PowerBi to present it nicely.

I exported the data into Power BI and two key data points are missing. There isn’t a field to identify external users and the last date user logged in is not captured when using the Build PlanGrid app. These are definitely a gap. I could use the transactional data to get the last login data but that would be a chore.

Thanks for trying to help me but I believe there isn’t a way to retrieve the data I need. I hope they add it soon.

There isn't an easy way ...

They are working on things for the Account Manager...

However what type of License do you have?
