Installing Revit 2017 from download, the LTU is not included, and although purchased, Autodesk fails to provide the media, therefore I got stuck with my stand-alone program, unable to transfer the license to laptop when traveling.

Requests for help results in reply how to USE the LTU, while the issue is that I do not HAVE the LTU.

Again and again I get the same standard reply, how to use the program, aparently the help desk is an automated machine.

It is so frustrating, going on for four months, how can I get in contact with someone who will actually read my request for help?

Actually, if you already have a standalone license, there's no need to request previous use, just activate it on the laptop.

That being said, you should only use the software on the laptop outside of the office.

The stand-alone allows installation on two computers.

I installed on office computer and on home computer, (as i did for Revit 2013 and 2014 from media). Not knowing that with downlading Revit 2017 the LTU is missing, I am now stuck with this setup, and unable to bring the license to my laptop when traveling. The reseller seem unable to provide the media, why?

@flemming Of course you can use the home use license for your laptop and at home. The licensing states that you can activate on upto 2 machines per license, but home use is slightly different in this regard. Autodesk give you the right to install on machines that will be used outside of the office (home use, on the go use, etc.).

If you need clarification on this, chat with Autodesk >>here<<

Hope this helps...

BTW, You can download the software from the Autodesk Virtual Agent

Once there, use the Download Links option to navigate to the application you need to download.

NOTE: If there are multiple parts for the download, you'll need to click each part to download them, once they are downloaded double-click Part1 (which will automatically extract the remaining parts) to begin the installation.

If you really need access to the LTU, then check the following directory to make sure it exists:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdLM\R12\LTU.exe

If so, create a shortcut on your dektop with the following as the target:

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdLM\R12\LTU.exe" 829I1 2017.0.0.F -d SA -l en-US

Note the red text. That's the product key for Revit 2017. There should be a folder within C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS
