Maximum Installs

I bought a new desktop computer.

I want to remove one of my Student copies (the other copy is on my win 10 laptop) from the old win7 desktop computer and install it on the new windows 10 desktop computer.

Is it as simple as that... just uninstall the copy from the old Win7 computer then do a new install on the new windows 10 computer?

I don't see any way to manage it in 360 or the Desktop App.

I'm looking forward to not having to downgrade dotNET from 4.6x to 4.5 every time there's an update, then re-upgrading .NET to 4.6.x after ACAD's finished updating.

The link Otto-bot references mentions a stand-alone license (with no definition of what constitutes a stand-alone license).

Is that what a student license is?

Since you already have your student license installed on 2 machines, you have reached the max allowed installations for a student. You can transfer the license off the old machine to the new machine using the License Transfer Utility (LTU) that is located under the Windows Start Menu/Autodesk section. However the LTU has its issues and it may not work in the end. You can also try installing the software on the new machine and see if it will just activate without using the LTU interface. If that works perform a clean uninstall on the old machine per these instructions.

In the end you may have to contact the Autodesk Educational Support if you run into activation issues since you have already reached the max install for a student license.

OK... well, I uninstalled it according to the instructions given by otto-bot, but I marked yours as the solution because there were quite a few files left in the locations shown on the 'clean uninstall' instructions page, so I was glad to also get rid of all those.
