You could try figuring out how to solve this, but it probably takes hours, if at all. While downgrading to Windows 10 could / should be done within an hour, so I would go for that option. Don't know if you can downgrade a new machine from within Windows 11. If not, install Windows 10 from a USB stick.

Hi All,

We have recently purchased a new computer which has windows 11 installed on it. when i have installed advance steel 2023 onto the machine the download has worked well but when i go to open up the program there is a command prompt window box that keeps popping on and off the screen on startup of the program. the box says something about the SQL server in program files not found. the program wont allow us to do anything it just keeps popping up with the window constantly.

On further investigation i believe it is something to do with Autodesk running off the 2014 SQL server whereas windows 11 doesn't use this server version anymore only 2019 onwards. Has anyone come across this issue before and know a workaround? or is there a way to revert back to windows 10 even though we only have windows 11 installed? appreciate your thoughts.

Cheers Cam
