Surface layers not visable in profile view

Hi,

I have issues to see mulitple surface layers in the profile view for the roads that has been converted into component roads. For maybe 1/20 of the roads I have converted it is working just fine, while for the rest I can only see the existing ground and the profile. For the component road drawn with the compontent roads tool, all the surfaces are visable. So I assume there is nothing wrong with the surfaces. Does anyone have an idea of what could be the issue?

I am having difficulties to completely understand the issue.

You are not talking about issues with displaying the profile(s) of additional terrain surfaces, but profiles of converted planning roads?

Can you comment a bit more on the images you have posted?

Are surface layers switched on in the profile view?

Sorry for the bad explanation. The issue is that the additional terrain surfaces are not visible in the profile view, even when the surface layers are switched on. But the issue only appears for the converted planning roads, not for the component roads.

The first picture shows a converted planning road. In the profile view, the green profile represents the existing ground. As you might see in the 3D view, I have imported a rock surface model that also should have been visible in the profile view.

In the second picture, I used the component road tool to create the road. For that road, both the existing ground and the rock surface layer (the grey profile) are visible in the profile view.

Please let me know if you need any further explanation.

thanks for the additional information.

I have tested with my own test model and loaded two surfaces. Then created a component road and a planning road that I converted to a component road. Both profiles always show both surfaces.

Therefore, I cannot recreate the issue on my side.
Is it possible to share your model so that I can investigate there?

I can create a OneDrive folder for you where you can upload a zipped version of the model.

Hi @louise.mouchard ,

One possibility is that the part of the converted road is outside of surface layer thus no surface layer shown in profile view. Can you help check if the surface layer covers along the whole converted road? You can verify the surface layer boundary by changing the material in the surface layer settings (http://help.autodesk.com/view/INFMDR/ENU/?guid=GUID-A257FA97-26CE-4A73-B3E6-B96346CBBBDE)
