Style rules won't show property values of created new feature classes

I created new feature classes, using the extend schema tool, under vegetation in order to be able to turn on/off areas of trees. I imported groups of points into these new classes and gave these points property values Tag='xxx'. Then I tried to make style rules which would use the tags to apply different styles to the trees. The style rules expression editor can't find the new tag values. It can only find the tag values in the original vegetation/trees feature class. What to do?

The should show as extended attributes.

Just tried this I have with a database having tree species as an attribute and it worked by setting up an extended schema and applying style rules to the trees.

Ever feel really stupid? I've been a total idiot. Noticed today that since I created new feature classes, they appear also in style rules palette as new feature class tabs, didn't notice them yesterday. I obviously should make my new style rules under these new tabs. Yesterday I tried to make new rules in the old original tab. Sorry for wasting everyone's time.
