Hi @lucdoucet_msdl ,

thank you for the DWG's, I can recreate the issue and error message in InfraWorks with the DWG's with the images.

At this moment I believe it's a limitation. The "saved" images from GEOMAP are still linked to the Bing Maps when you open the DWG. A "normal" image is loaded as XRef and XRefs are not supported for online conversion in InfraWorks.

The "saved" Bing Map images are handled internally and I think they are also not translated with the 2D DWG import in InfraWorks.

I will confirm that with the developers next.

Regards,
Karsten.

I've recently upgraded to Infraworks 2022.1 and I'm getting an error when overlaying a 2d DWG with place interactive, the following error shows up:

"Refresh failed for: 31H05-010-3914_2007 (2)

Cannot copy file: E:/LUC/Mes Documents/DDO/IFW/DDO.files/Resources/Translations/278d8ea0-bfc1-475e-bb78-099ff1f0b3c5/1.png"

When I navigate to the file location, the specified file is missing which makes me think that the cloud conversion is not completing.

Any ideas on how to correct this problem?

-luc

Hi @lucdoucet_msdl ,

I understand that you add a 2D DWG image overlay and it's not working due to the error message.

It could indeed be the case that the DWG cannot be converted to an image in the cloud import process.

Can you try and load the DWG to the Autodesk Online Viewer? Does is show correctly in the browser?

Can you send the full InfraWorks log files from path %appdata%\Autodesk\Autodesk InfraWorks\logs after you tried to add the DWG overlay?

Regards,

Karsten.

The log files are below.

Thinking there may be something in the file preventing conversion, I tested the removal of an embedded Online Map capture and the file worked successfully. I've attached the failed and working files for you to try out on your end.

If this type of Autocad element is not supported by the cloud translation feature, it may be useful to users to have a note in the Infraworks help section below, identifying element types that need to be removed before linking.

To import 2D vector terrain overlays

So the solution in my case was to delete the embedded map capture image as it was not required.

Thanks for your support,

-luc
