&lt;P&gt;I'm not sure if this will help, but I would recommend trying the operation again in a model that has a terrain&amp;nbsp;layer.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Try&amp;nbsp;importing a terrain layer and surface imagery before importing your point cloud data.&amp;nbsp;(You can also use the Model Builder to quickly create a model of your area of interest)&amp;nbsp;Then, try your export operation again, but&lt;SPAN&gt; select the Multiple Files option under the Target Files section of the Export dialog and deselect the Ground feature type. Make sure that the Buildings feature type&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;U&gt;is&lt;/U&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; selected.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
