Draw order of Ground imagery

Is there a way to order the ground imagery so that i can carry out patches and enlarge the overall context with a google earth image. When i bring in the later geo reference imagery it seems to place the to the front evertime and I have to delete and insert to get the desired look.

Have you tried using the 'surface layers' option?

In the create and manage your model tab, its the second option down. Just click the surface and use the arrows along the top to change the order.
