&lt;P&gt;I think this could be accomplished by importing the shp data and configuring it as a Land Area, then using a &lt;A href="http://help.autodesk.com/view/INFMDR/2016/ENU/?guid=GUID-70BEA0B5-CF1D-44A1-B44F-22381D404C74" target="_self"&gt;feature theme&lt;/A&gt; in conjunction with metadata from the SHP file to determine your colors. (Use the property field to specify the attribute that determines vegetation type.)&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Additionally, once you have imported your data, you could use style rules to map different styles to subsets of your coverage area (from SHP file). In order to do this, you would need to have some attributes in your SHP file that specify vegetation types using an ID or Tag.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Here's some more information about using &lt;A href="http://help.autodesk.com/view/INFMDR/2016/ENU/?guid=GUID-4279B93A-99B6-4DF3-87B7-A10F64C4688B" target="_self"&gt;Style Rules&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You could also try this during import, using &lt;A href="http://help.autodesk.com/view/INFMDR/2016/ENU/?guid=GUID-8C8A836A-C6D8-4120-B7F5-E0E6B5C471DD" target="_self"&gt;Rule Styles&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
