Hi there,

We have a site that has a number of gullies that we are considering filling. Is there a workflow in infraworks to create a grade line/control line/alignment line at the top of the proposed fill batter and then define fill batter grade (say 1.8H to 1V) and also define the return fill batter back into existing. Then once this is comeplted, report on the volume of fill material.

You may be able to use a Component Road that has just a single lane on one side. Draw the Road alignment along the top of the proposed fill batter with the lane to the gully side and set the width and slope of the lane to match the fill batter grade... then set the Roadside grading to fixed slope and set the grade to the return fill batter. Or maybe use two lanes, one for the fill batter, the other for return and still use Roadside grading to tie to existing.

Hi there,

As proposed in another thread you can use Land Areas (you need to turn that feature on as preview).

Land areas defined as polygons and let you control thier slopes like for design roads.

There is no linear land area tool, but you could create a very slim, 'line-like' polygon.

Best,
