Ok, @gabriel.rojasJ8ECZ. Thanks for sharing your file.

Actually, it is a code set style issue. In Civil 3D, click on your Corridor -> Properties -> Codes. If you edit the "All Codes" code set style, you will see that the field "Material Area Fill Style" is empty in all rows. Therefore, in Infraworks everything will be invisible.

You may create your code set style with the materials styles for each link from your assembly clicking on the icon. Or, you can just pick another code set style with this field fulfilled. Once the code set style is set, when you import it in Infraworks, the corridor (that one with the name finishing in "-ROADS") will inherit the materials styles from Civil 3D.

PS: When you do it, even if you change the assembly style in Infraworks or leave it empty, the corridor will maintain intact as it is configured in Civil 3D.

PS2: You can import the TOP surface from your corridor in Civil 3D and coverages just for visual representation. As Jeff shows here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWA_B9gU2v4.

Good work and don't go crazy haha!

Hello.
I have this problem, I have my civil 3d file (alignement, profile, corridor-subassembly) and everything looks good but when I try to import to infraworks, it just import the surface, and the corridor coverages, but no the road and it's getting me crazy, has someone has the same issue? how can I solve it?

Hi @gabriel.rojasJ8ECZ!

If the surface is importing correctly, the road is probably ok too. If you double-click on the item with the name finishing with "-ROADS", below "Carreteras" in "Origen de Datos", click to define an assembly style for your road. The same way that we define an assembly in Civil 3D, we need to do it in Infraworks.

Best regards,

Nope, it's not working... I mean, the road it's not even an "entity" in infraworks, cause I change the styles in civil 3d like you told me and now the coverage areas are invisible but I can click it (first image), and the road it's not showing.
So, I need the road cause I want to change the subassembly in infraworks for a road with four lanes, and make another proposal, different bridges, tunnels etc.

Any suggestion? 🙂 Tnx for the patience, the help and the effort.

Hey @gabriel.rojasJ8ECZ !

Firstly, you're welcome! Secondly, well, I think I've just discovered the problem.

If you take a look at your alignment, there are elements like a half circle, this image is at the end of the first horizontal curve. These half circles caused some weirdness in your corridor.

You can delete them by clicking on the alignment -> edit geometry -> delete sub-entity.

I created a similar alignment with the same parameters as yours, the only difference was the corridor baseline aaand surprise: imported just fine both coverages and the road.

So, I suggest taking a look at the alignment EJE_2 and perhaps recreating it.

PS: The corridor at the end is with elevation zero. You may check your profile view, the profile from your road and from the terrain MUST begin and finish at the exact same station. I created a pink vertical line at the end of the surface and as you can see the road profile is finishing a little bit earlier.
