thanks, i think my workaround may be just to manually rotate the features within the infraworks model before syncing with the cloud. Not the ideal solution but fine for now I think. The web viewer is overall a terrific presentation tool, we just want it to have real world lighting conditions.

ok thanks for the help!

Is there any way to adjust the sun angle in the 360 panorama renderings and also the plan view rendering for the web viewer? Is there a setting I am missing in the desktop application before syncing with 360?

The renderings look outstanding except for the fact that the sun conditions are inaccurate.

see screenshot for what i mean, as you can see the shadows are pointing south as if the sun is in the northeast, but this would never happen in real life.

Thanks!

Hello Frank,

you can adjust settings for time and day in the model:

But these settings are not supported in the pre-rendered panaorama, see

thanks, will future releases address this oversight? it seems like even if you can't adjust the prerendered sun, that it should at least have a geographically accurate location based on the project location.

Hi Frank,

Good point, and Karsten is right. Sun settings are not published through InfraWorks 360 web viewer from InfraWorks 360 desktop. InfraWorks 360 web viewer uses RaaS (Render as a Service) based on rendering.360.autodesk.com with it's standard settings. No way to influence these for InfraWorks 360 web viewer and at the moment no plan to change that.

Best regards,

Markus

I'm working on a project where I want to cast shadows from a set location. In a previous version I was trained on, we were able to change the light source location. Is this possible in Infraworks 360?
