Download model NOT through Infraworks

All

See attached image and log file (im sure this is the correct log file)

I don't use Infraworks 360 very often, but i demo'd it to a few colleagues and they loved it. I'm now trying to use it on my work machine so i can build a case to get it rolled out. But i cannot open any models. Our computers have limited access to the outside world (typical IT) and will take a few months to rectify.

I'm wondering if there is a place where i can go to a website and manually download the models created via the 'Model Builder" and just open them in Infraworks 360. I cant find them on my A360 drive, i received email saying the model is complete and ready, but when i try download through Infraworkd i get the 'Unable to open the model" (which im sure will just be our IT settings)

Can anyone advise?

Thanks in advance

@Alisder.Brown

Your description and log file messages seem to match this KB article: Upload or download of models in InfraWorks 360 not possible. That will lead you to: Login to Autodesk InfraWorks 360 does not work when using a Proxy Server, which tells you how resolve this issue.

I understand this doesn't answer your question how to obtain this model outside of the normal workflow, but pointing your IT department to the requirements for using InfraWorks might help with business case justification.

hgohel

Thanks very much for the information, i will put this into an email for the IT guys 🙂

This kind of process will take several weeks to be picked up, verified and rolled out unfortunately (most likely a couple months)

I take it that it is not possible to download my models from a cloud/webpage/server?

Thanks

Hi Alisder,

As for direct download-- that's a good question, I'll check with the Model Builder team about that. My initial guess would be no.. But perhaps we could find a way.

Thanks,

Hi Alisder,

So I double-checked with the team, and I am sorry to report that we do not currently offer an out-of-application option for downloading IW360 cloud models, including models created by the Model Builder. For now, your best bet would be to lean on your IT department to implement the proxy server permissions fix. Sorry I don't have a different option for you, and good luck!

Best,
