My name is Pat and I am with Autodesk Technical Support. So the easiest way to get this into Infraworks is to convert it to an SHP file. ESRI has a few methods for converting to SHP. Alternatively, bringing it into Civil is also a good work flow, as you could then also create an SHP or use the DWG it is in. Couple ways for you.

All,

The county I work in has an online map that contains valuable GIS data that I would like to incorporate into Infraworks (specifically 2016 aerial imagery). I contacted the GIS administrator for the County and was told that it is an ArcGIS Rest Server with the following URL:

http://arcgis10.washco.utah.gov/arcgis/rest/services/

How do I incorporate this data source into Infraworks?

Alternatively they have given me a link to download a plugin for Civil 3D at the following link:

http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arcgis-for-autocad

I would love to see if this is an option!

Thanks in advance for the help and ideas!

I am back to this question since my County is providing this same link again to access its DEM and aerial data. How do I go about importing this into Civil 3D (Map I presume) so that I can export it as a shape file or raster format? Thanks in advance for your help!

Now that we have the ArcGIS connector is there a new way to connect to a data source such as the following links? I am trying to access parcel data in Riverside County CA.

https://gis.countyofriverside.us/arcgis_public/rest/services/OpenData/ParcelBasic/MapServer/0/query?outFields=*&where=&geometry={"xmin":-13207826.801227992,"ymin":3949911.9222710906,"xmax":-12631185.859844903,"ymax":4041636.3562132576,"spatialReference":{"wkid":102100}}

or

http://data-countyofriverside.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/d53885b540f0444196356290a13a779d_0.geojson?where=&geometry={"xmin":-13207826.801227992,"ymin":3949911.9222710906,"xmax":-12631185.859844903,"ymax":4041636.3562132576,"spatialReference":{"wkid":102100}}

or

https://gis.countyofriverside.us/arcgis_public/rest/services/OpenData/ParcelBasic/MapServer/0/query?outFields=*&where=1%3D1

or

http://data-countyofriverside.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/d53885b540f0444196356290a13a779d_0.geojson

Thanks for your insight on this!

I too am wondering if it'd be possible to do a direct link. Using a SHP import is not optimal due to the need to update the data manually with each change from the county. A streamed-in REST endpoint would show the county's updates as soon as they do them.
