Infraworks 360 version 17.3.133.0 failed to import data (CIVIL 3D dwg file)

Hello,

I have that problem, when I'm trying to import Civil 3d dwg file in Infraworks I'm getting this error message shown in picture:

Message says to check the log file for more details. I have checked that and found only this: m_kernelList still has 1 entry.

And thats happening to all Civil 3D dwg files which I try to import.

Autocad Civil 3D version is the same like an Infraworks 360.

Maybe someone was received this message in the past and found solution for that? Any ideas to solve this?

This is not an exceptional dwg file, I get this message with all dwg files which we have in our project. My colleague now have this problem too. Some colleagues can import that dwg files which I try to import. I don't know where is the problem..

strange! Can you send the InfraWorks log files from C:\Users\<<USER>>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk InfraWorks\logs ?

the largest log file shows clearly an issue with the Civil 3D installation. When the model is opened in InfraWorks and the datasources are loaded it seems that Civil 3D cannot be accessed to load the DWG.

Redirect stdout (file: C:\Users\tomasmi\AppData\Local\Temp\accc148762).

Can you make sure that Civil 3D is started normally. Please reset the Civil 3D user profiles following the manual instaructions in this article:

Additionally, there are some issues with loading the raster files:

I don't have an explanation, but it's worth a try to avoid special characters in the file name: Tvärförbindelse Södertörn FAS 3 2017.sqlite

From the log it seemed something wrong in the Civil, one suggestion from a related post is to "Reset Settings to Default" in Civil, maybe you can try.

One more hint is to use shorter file full path for the dwg files to be imported.

hello, we do some test with Tomas, but problem the same....

We try to reset setting. after reset we can import data, until we don't start Civil 3D 2017 Sweden.

It is possible that problem is in country kit?

same expample of log that is strange(after reset) and import work:

it is the way to configure that always infraworks will used "<<C3D_Metric>>" profile?

Hello, colleguases! @Karsten.Saenger @Anonymous @kathy.feng @Anonymous Did you find out how to fix this problem? Cause we meet the same problem in 2021 with Russian Country kit.

@Anonymous seems like an installer issue of Russian Country kit.

Two workarounds to see if it works.

Update registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R24.0\ACAD-4100:409\Profiles\<<C3D_Russia>>\General\QnewTemplate to "%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\C3D 2021\enu\Template_Russian Civil 3D (Metric) All Styles.dwt", then the import could work.
add the missing template _AutoCAD Civil 3D (Metric)_RUS.dwt to the folder: C:\\Users\\Test\\AppData\\Local\\Autodesk\\C3D 2021\\enu\\Template
