Intersection not showing up

Hi all,

When I connect 2 roads no intersection is formed and I am unsure how to modify the radius between the two roads.

I need to include the area in blue but as the road segment is not an intersection I am not able to do so.

What am I missing?

Hi @Milos.V

it looks as if you have created a small additional road spline and it is too small to get the intersection automatically be built. What happens if you delete the (selected) spline and the drag the end point of the left road to the intersection point?

Else, make sure both roads are of the same type - design roads or component roads.

I deleted the samall road sample and extended the road all the way to the other side but still no intersection.

I made the other road same type as the main road just in case it was that but result is the same.

Converting to component Roads did the trick.

I thought roads done in Engineering mode were intersection ready?

in any way its solved now.

Hi all

I am having similar problems where 2 out-of-the-box Component Roads are not creating a junction.

Both roads are straight without any horizontal geometry
I have tried snapping the minor road to several location along the main road.
I have simplified the vertical geometry to remove any unwanted PVIs/VCs
Design speed is 40km/h and local road classifications.
Terrain is flat
I have tried toggling between different design standards.

I have tried a different CR style (4 Lane Divided with sloped Asphalt) and it works but then I try again immediately it doesn't. I can only recall this problem with the IW 2019+ releases.

Any thoughts on tips, tricks, best practice? This is obviously pretty frustrating when simple functions are not working.
