Hi guys. I've created a new bridge element to my bridge. I've modeled the reinforced steel to the piles, as this pic:

But, when I export to Infraworks, from Inventor, these reinforced steel are not computed. Does anyone know how could I make it happen? It shown the concrete volum, but not the steel.

Thanks.

Here is a brief workflow that should assist you :

1) When defining the part in Inventor, use an assembly, defining the piles as part associated to the assembly

2) Export the assembly from Inventor using the 'Infrastructure Part Shape Utilities' add-in

3) Import the assembly into InfraWorks using the Style Palette's Parametric Models tab (alt-6)

4) Once the assembly instance has been selected as the abutment type, use the Stack panels in InfraWorks to view and select the pile instances. For each pile, change the 'Volume Material' to 'Structural Steel'.

5) Once the material overrides are set, the volumes should then reflect the steel volumes correctly.

This information is somewhat high-level. If you need more details on how to model and use assemblies in InfraWorks, I can try and assist by creating a video that provides a more granular set of steps.

Regards,
Greg
