Working direction for adaptiv Clearing

Good Morning

I'm working on an 5-axis machine with HSM, which works great most of the time, but there is one issue I encounter quite some time the last few weeks.

When I apply a adaptiv clearing operation to a side of the part (so the table is going to be tilted in real life) I have no possibility to change the direction of how it works.

As you can see on the attached image, it wants to start "through" the vice...

Things I've done / had a look and try at:

- I defined the part, fixture and stock in the setup

- I defined an entry point in the operation, but that had no effect at all

- I tried different methods of selecting the pocket/slot

Dont know how about it with 5-axis but in 2D and 3D-Adaptive you can change the start/end by changing the Tool Oriantation.

Check "Flip X axis" and then it starts from the other side.

Ah ok, havent thought about that, probably because I try to keep the tool orientation as it will be later in the real machine, just to make it easier to see in what direction she goes.

But it works, and there doesn`t seem to be anoterh possibility right?

I spent a lot of time to try many things. This is the only one that works with no effort. In your case you can make a Sketch like the shape of a "U". Then the startpoint is everytime on the side where the "U" is open.
