Inventor CAM post processor

I am using Inventor 2023 with the 2023 CAM ad on. I have a Haas mini mill with next generation controls. The post processor is not in the program as a default. So I downloaded it from the Autodesk website and added it to the correct folder. It does show as an option, however when I post process this error message comes up-

I have tried to download previous versions of the processor, same issues.

This is where I got the file from- https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmposts?p=haas_next_generation

It says Fusion 360 at the top, but its the only source I can find. When I search for inventor files this is what comes up.

Am I missing something? In the past I have used Fusion with no problems, However I would like to stick with Inventor.

I have attached the inventor file- Simple block with a hole.

Hi -

I'm trying to confirm this, but I suspect that your issue is that the latest version of that post processor uses a function -- createOutputVariable -- that's not available in the post processor engine that's included with Inventor CAM 2023.

Again, I'm not sure about this, but I would expect that Inventor CAM 2024's post processor engine, which was a later version, likely would support this.

I'd suggest trying Inventor CAM 2024, and that may just solve your issue.

The necessary post processor engine update might be available in the most recent Inventor CAM 2023 update as well.
