What are .machine files for?

Hi everyone,

while copying a post processor from the default Public location I noticed a folder called "machines" that contains many ".machine" files. What are these for and how can you open them? Can you simulate a machine environment using them?

Nvm. Found the answer here:

They can be opened by notepad.

In a future update, you should start seeing the machine definitions used for even more than is the case today.
