I am using a PocketNC 5-axis machine. Due to the limited work envelope, some creativity is needed. The X-axis on this machine is limited to -2in to +2.5in from the center of the rotary table (while Y is -2.5 to +2.5). So if we're set to machine tangent to the rotary table (A90), and I want to machine in the -2.5in to -2in range of X, it would be much easier to rotate the rotary table 180 degrees so that the area is now in the +2in to 2.5in range of X (which is inside the work envelope). Is there any way to force this in HSMWorks when creating the toolpath? I've got the machine setup correctly, but the software doesn't seem to take the work envelope into account when setting up the toolpath (guessing it only uses that information for machine simulation). PS - This is a concave surface, so I cannot change the Z-axis to come from the side of the part to achieve the results; the toolpath needs to be tangent to the rotary table.
