I have several models in Solidworks 2015 that HSM will not recognize threads. When I select the thread segments (edges and faces) there is a persistent no threads selected error. Has anyone run into this? If so, what was a a solution. It should be noted I am not an extraordinarily good Solidworks user. I have verified the correct geometry on the threads in the model, and tried a couple different revisions of the models to make sure it wasn't an isolated problem.

Do you want to machine the outer thread that has been modeled?
That the software won't understand. It will only understand a "normal" circular face.
Now your problem probably arises since you need it starting point at a certain angle or not?
