Selection of 2d contour edges is useless

I thought HSM was going to be my favorite CAM, but I'm getting doubts. Case is that I often need to select some edges, so first click selects multiple, then right click gives me a choice of selecting parts of the contour. But it just doesn't work, at least some times it used to work, but that was maybe with previous version only. In my mind the logical way would be clicking on an edge should toggle the selection on and off.

I mean this is so basic and we need it all the time, if this does'nt work properly I have to ditch HSM!

I'm not totally sure on your problem.

Can you maybe show in a screencast or so what the issue is?

It would also be helpful to know if you are using HSMWorks in SolidWorks or Inventor HSM/Fusion 360. The geometry selection is a bit different between them (although essentially the same on InvHSM/Fusion).

I'm not sure to understand what the problem is but here some tips if you didn't already know:

Click on edge = select chain

Alt + click = select 1 edge

Ctrl + click = select / unselect edge / chain

click on already selected edge / chain = edit the chain / add more edge to chain

Thanks, "parobillard" you solved it, Ctrl + click = select / unselect edge / chain, worked. I couldn't find that in the documentation.

(I'm using HSM Inventor)
