Is there a post processor for flow waterjet

Wondering how to post in fusion 360 to our flow water jet with out saving as dxf and uploading into flow path. Would like to do mostly everything right in 360. The flow water jet uses an .ord file.

Hi all,

I am using flow cps version r42773 to post ORD files, however what should be traverse lines are being output as cutting lines. Does anyone else have this problem, or am I missing something?

What needed to be changed in the NC code? Here's what I'm seeing. The 0 in the 4th column is rapid, jet off.

What turns it into a traverse move?

I am having the same issue with the caned Flow Jet post processor. All of my posts cut on the transfer lines. Does anyone have an idea how to mod the post processor to keep the transfer lines from being cut?

I just received notification that WheatStateW is having issues with the Flow post as well. Time to fix it!

A few questions....

Are you posting out with the 2-axis V5 version or 3-axis V6 configuration?

Can you identify where it's going awry? Do you know what good code should look like?

Here's what I see. Can you point out where I'm off or what you're doing differently to get the cut staying on?

Basically can you point out the error of my ways. The above picture shows code from Fusion that my current logic says should work.

I think the thing that would help is to show code that cuts on the transitions (when it shouldn't) and what the code should look like to cut correctly.

Pretty much show and tell of what's wrong and what right looks like.

@kyle.kershaw TBH i'm not 100% sure how the "code" relates to what is being shown in Fusion, but maybe this will help a bit. Picture 1 shows the simulation in F360 where the cut on this part is started. The feedrate and movement are "rapid". This seems to directly translate to the "traverse" (rapid) line shown in picture 2 from the Flow cutting software. Picture 3 is the output code. You can also see how the line between the two cuts is solid (indicating cutting) in picture 2, which should actually be dashed. I can upload the f3d file separately if needed. Comparing the on-machine view (#2 pic) with the nc code (#3 pic) it looks like the "traverse" mode is being applied to the next move and not the current move.
The lead in move to the circle shows like a traverse move. This is right after the rapid move to the start position. Ditto for the square shape. Off one move too late (cut while traversing) and back on again after the lead in. Both one move too late.

Can you show me good code? Can you program a similar shape (that works) and export the program? Code like that shown in picture #3.

It just dawned on me that I can repeat the current location when turning the jet on and off instead of assuming it would turn on and off before moving.

If you can show good code from a similar shape that would be great. I'll tweak the post to do "on the spot" jet on/off.

I see no one responded to you with any correct .ORD file output.

I can CAM a file for you in the FLOW software and get an actual true .ORD file for you, so you can compare.

Can you attach a DXF of the file you have been testing code on? Ill run it thru the software and get you something quickly.

Also interested in any new options for posting out and eliminating the flow path portion of the work flow. makes nested parts a real nightmare when you have to basically go over the whole cut path a second time to set leads and traverse paths.
