Hello @Anonymous ,

I think this is not a postprocessor issue but it's something toolpath related.

Your '2D contour' toolpath has the entry position too close to the corner:

This is not the best solution for toolpath working in tool radius compensation.

In my opinion it's better to enter in a straight area, if possible.

My suggestion is to edit your toolpath and define a new entry point in a safer area, as shown in the picture below:

This is the new toolpath you have:

I hope this could help you.

Please test it carefully and let me know.

Hello ,
I have an issue with the post procesor "siemens-840d" for an DMG MORI CNC.
in adaptive and 2d pocket i receive an error from the CNC controler "Danger of collision due to tool radius compensation".
It works fine until te pocket is cleared almost to the bottom then it brings me the error.
I tried with the same part and only 2 passes in 2d pocket and it worked fine "if not using Morphed Spiral Machining option and the finishing pass off

"

Hello andrea.amilo,

In the first place I thought there could be an confusion so I added an print screen. I an referring of the "2D pocket1"

I there is no error in Fusion generating the tool path => should be OK, no error/collision in simulation of the tool path in Fusion => should be OK, error in CNC controler simulation and air cutting at the same line. Maybe there actually can be an bug in this postprocessor.

First pas of the "2D pocket1" is OK, second pas is OK, the third pas brings the error.

You are right I did not put on "2D contour1" an starting point, it was left blank (or default) this shod not bring an error. Because is an test part and dose not mater where the tool starts and I let Fusion figure out what it wants.

An entering angle of 45 deg. at an radom point is not the best way but it has to work. The more important thing is that the toolpath "2D contour1" that you presented did not bring any errors. If I suppress "2D pocket1" everting is OK and can be machined without problems.

My question was why "2D pocket1" and "Adaptive1" do not work in this chase ?

No simulation error, no post processing error, but the output file dose not work properly in the CNC controler.

I will add an entry point for all the toll path to see if the error is fixed.

Thank you for the replay and have a nice day,

Hello @Anonymous ,

I've seen your picture related to '2D pocket1' toolpath but the error message is highlighted at block N2435.

That's why I was focused on '2D contour' toolpath:

I hope that managing the 'entry point' in toolpath with radius compensation solves your issue.

Please let me know.

I have a very similar issue, and the toolpath entry/exit is in the middle of a square wall (external profile).
