Insight into why Tormach Path Pilot Post has been pulled from Tormach Downloads

Hello every,

Tonight I was helping a friend with Fusion 360 and noticed that there is no longer a Path Pilot Post file on their site. After searching around Autodesk's site there no PathPilot posts to be found on the site.

Using the link in the forums and other sources, http://www.tormach.com/document_direct_download.html?doc_id=925 when attempting to download the file. I'm planning on contacting Tormach as well.

Good question it's not on the autodesk CAM post website either.

I got this reply from Scott Johnson @ Tormach Tech

The post says Mach3 but we have been told by Autodesk that it is the latest post they have. So I would suggest trying it with PathPilot and see what you find.

I tried the post with my PCNC770 with ATC.

It is not working fully as I want it.

After an operation the z raises up and spindle is still on.
I then have to push "cycle start" again to stop the spindle, make the tool change (atc) and it goes on doing the next operation.

Every time there is a tool change the scenario is the same.

I also tried a post from cnc-zone "Tormach_PathPilot No G30 No M29 Streamlined tool Change.cps" (attached)

This works a little differently, the spindle stops before tool change, still have to press cycle start again but BEWARE...

...after my program was done it plunged straight through the stock. Fortunately I made a dry run with enough z space so

there was no damage done but still.... BEWARE!!!

Not sure why it did that, everything else worked well.

Looks like you need a G91 on your G30 line just like the G28.

Why not? Edit and save as a new file. I've got four iterations of custom Haas post and five for our Fadal (one of which is a work in progress and won't post code yet).

You can use any text editor. It's just stored in a .cps file for use by the HSM products like an .ini file is used in Windows.

LOL, I read that one needed notepad++ because of some coding java jadda jadda but never tried it in the text editor.

Is there an explanation to all the functions and values somewhere?
