Could you upload a file that you posted out from ArtCAM? Also, could you upload one of the files that you have tested on your machine from Inventor HSM (the NC files).
I assume this is something to do with the work offset that is being selected

I've recently switched from using ArtCAM to using Inventor HSM for our router work and I'm having some issues with the controller now.

I'm using a WinCNC controller on a routermaster router table and the output code seems to change the defaults that I set on the controller when I set up the workpiece. Here are the steps I used to do with the ArtCAM cnc files.

1) Set home position, XYZ all set for the workpiece.

2) Open the CNC file and preview

3) Hit the "Go Home" button (....the X & Y coordinates now show 0,0)

4) Run the program

Doing the same steps as I used to, but using the HSM outputed code for the cnc file when I hit the "Go Home" button, the controller displays the home as being X -0.25, Y -2.437. So when the program starts, it doesn't start from the desired origin.

This obviously sets the origin of the workpiece wrong in relation to the tool and the cuts will be in the wrong place. For this particular program the new X & Y are consistently -0.25 and -2.437, but different for other programs.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there some section of the post processor coding that could be changing the origin position?

Thanks

Update: I've figured out that the offsets that seemed to be random were the same offsets that I inputed when I set up the workpiece. When I push the "Seek Home" button the head goes to the origin of the machine, but our table is set up with an MDF sheet that isn't set on the origin of the table, so each workpiece is offset from there rougly X=0.25 and Y=2.0 (hopefully that makes sense). So I'll move the head where I want the workpiece to start, "Set XY" and then "Set Z". And then the problem as described before occurs.

Attached are the artcam and the HSM output files.
