Good afternoon guys we are having a problem with post processor the issue is i have to manually delete items and add items to the .H file before running on the machine i.e. the M6 command below the tool change command was missing also at the beginning and end of the program a few lines down there is a command to defend full rapids to z0 witch as you would expect could cause a crash so i delete said section we have been successfully using this solution for a quite some time but as you can expect a large file with loads of tool changes manually removing stops and adding the m6 command can take some time

is there a way of editing the post processor ?

for example please find attached before and desired after and the current post we are using (please not that tool def is removed also)

It would be fantastic for this small issue to be sorted out for us

Just removing this line:

27 L Z+0 R0 F9998 M25

is a little tricky. That is to go fully up in Z.

So do you have a different way of doing that?

well I'm not sure to be honest as this is normally a .h file we are running conversational programs so there is the option between m91 and m92 just not sure what the difference is ? with that code left in it just full rapids to the datum z0 but at the beginning and end with this removed all is well tool changes are perfect ect homes at the end just fine

What line makes it go home?

But apart from the M6, can you check if one of these posts run better on your machine?

I expect the 407 to be closer to what your machine can do than the 155 post you use now.

thanks fr getting back to quickly i have tried those to but still no m6 at the end of a tool change if there is no tool change m6 it will just rise up to the tool change level and stop after m6 is used directly below the tool change it all works perfect

as for telling it to go up i think this is due to the conversational side of Heidenhain although i may be missing something most of the work arounds to our problems come from hours on the phone with Heidenhain and the machine although like new condition is of course old so support is limited 😕

hope we can come up with a solution also tool def on the latter one takes the removal of tool def out of the equation in theory by communing the commands out i have yet to try on the actual machine we wish to remain using conversational vs iso due to the file sizes being small enough for the small internal memory
