Have you made any modifications to the post? There are several things that could cause the arcs to be like this:

Min/Max arc radius settings

Maximum Circular Sweep settings

Circular plane selection (could be linearizing in the vertical planes), set using allowedCircularPlanes

Tolerance

If you could share both your part and post, we can pinpoint exactly what is wrong 🙂

I'm using the Mitsubishi generic milling post, trying to chamfer a profile of a part and there should be 13 movements including arc movements, it is posting over 100 lines of code to chamfer this part... and splitting straight lines into segments. I've tried using the "smoothing" tab and adjusting the tolerance with no luck.

what do I have to do to get this to post straight lines and arcs?

i figured out how to use the contour tool path instead of the trace to get it to post with point to point linear movements instead of segments between points.

attached is the part and the post. you'll see the trace tool path that set up that is supposed to chamfer the part. the post i'm using is the generic mitsubishi post.
