Editing Heidenhain TNC 426 post processor for HSM

Hi together and a happy new year,

I tried some Heidenhain posts which are included in HSM and have the problem that before every tool change there is this: L Z0 R0 FMax M91. My TNC tells me that there is a problem with Z because it can't reach Z0 of course. I tried to find out how I can manipulate the post not to write this but I am not able to because I have no idea about programming posts. So I googled, found that there is a post for my TNC 426, downloaded it and tried it. Now I get this: .... ReferenceError: CAPABILITY_MACHINE_SIMULATION is not defined. I don't know if the 426 post generates that Z0 problem, too.

Can somebody please help me to solve those problems?

try attached post processor. It uses M140 MB MAX instead of Z0 M91.

thank you very much. I tried it but still the same: ReferenceError: CAPABILITY_MACHINE_SIMULATION is not defined

Can you solve this?

If you don't need to use Machine simulation, just remove it in your Setup.

If you would like to use Machine simulation, you need to "Edit..." -> "Post processing" and select the post processor.

Both should resolve the issue.

Thanks for your reply. I don`t need machine simulation. I have looked where I can remove it, but I haven`t found. It also looks completely different than in your pics, it's the plugin in SolidWorks.

I haven't configured a machine. When clicking on machine simulation I get asked to choose a machine. But I don't have one and the generic machines don't work because it wants a Solidworks file and they are .machine files.

It's strange that the machine simulation problem only occurs when I use the 426 postprocessor. When using the 407 postprocessor the problem doesn't occur. But then the Z0 problem is there. Is it possible to remove the machine simulation from the postprocessor? Or do you have another idea?

I will take a look at this for you.
Using HSMWorks might get you a different result when it comes to machine simulation.

What version of HSMWorks do you use? I think you are using older version, that use older post kerner that does not support some variables from new post processor.

If you want, send me a PM I will help you to make required modification in older post processor version.
