Hi,

Have you assigned both contracts to the same hub as I explained?

Then you're ready for the next step:

(I have no access to this myself so I changed your image).

For the 2nd user click 'edit access' and remove 1 of the Fusion Team contracts.

For de first user click edit access and add the contract (in this order).

Then use this user account to go to manage.autodesk.com and go to Fusion Team, he'll see 1 contract with a hub already assigned. And you're in.

However, I believe this is not even neccesary.

If you'd go in the admin section, and invite the account to the hub using his emailadress then you achieve the same more or less.

Hi,

I have a problem which is eating into my day and driving me nuts. I can't seem to explain it to support staff so perhaps someone here can help. Some background :

Small company, two users of Fusion 360, both licences bought by the company, one for me, the second one assigned to my colleague. We created personal projects over the last couple of months to which each other was invited and all was fine. The other member leaves and now we have an administrator problem in that the projects are forever tied to his id.

There is no email/id problem, I control the mail domain and can log in to both accounts but I need to move projects out of my ex-colleague's administration and into mine so that I avoid making this mistake in the future.

Apparently I can do this by signing up to Team where multiple administrators can be created so I bought two licences for the company intending to give each user this capacity.

However, both of the Team licenses were automatically assigned to me. The projects we shared are still available to each user and nothing has changed that I can see. How do I assign the second Team licence to the second user? How do I find my way out of this rabbit hole?

Thanks for any help.

Hi There,

Thank you for posting your questions.

You shouldn't be able to consume BOTH licenses with only one account.

Can you please check under Admin > Settings which users are associated to your hub? And if there are any free licenses still? The latter you find under 'Subscriptions'

I think you can just invite user B (who left) to the project.

Then, from his account transfer all of his work from his personal hub to the project hub. By clicking 'Transfer' for the projects as shown here:

When the transfer is complete, you've everything in 1 place just like you need.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the response.

When you say, Admin > Settings... what are you referring to? On what page? My screen looks nothing like yours which leads me to think there's a huge gap in my understanding.

I have been creating Projects and inviting people to participate in them prior to purchasing Team. I assumed that the same page, myhub.autodesk360.com, is where I would see the new functionality. Is this not correct ?

FYI, here's my management user page :

OK, some progress. From the Autodesk account management > Products & Services > Fusion Team > Access now, (link icon) I come to this page :

Both Assign contract links offer assigning of the contract to a Hub, rather than a user and there is a selection of one, which is me. (Now I am asking myself the definition of 'Hub'). I am warned that assigning can't be undone so have done nothing yet.

Hi,

No.

myhub.autodesk.com is your Personal hub.

The Team hub is always constructed based on your email adress. My email ends with @cadac.com and hence my hub is cadac.autodesk360.com.

What you should do is, from your Personal hub, click on your account logo at the right top. In the dropdown you can select the hub you want to see.

Now there choose 'Team Hub' and from within your team hub you'll be able to find the Admin Settings as I showed earlier.

So, this is supposing that your Team hub already exists. Maybe it doesn't yet.

In that case. Go to Manage.Autodesk.com, find Fusion Team in the list of products and click the 'link' symbol at the end of the row.

This leads to a page where you can see all purchases contracts. If the contract isn't assigned to a Hub yet, you can create a new Team hub. It is impossible to convert a personal hub to a team hub. So 'New Hub' is what you'll need to choose.

Well found! We 're getting there. Oke so appearently you got 2 separate contracts.

No worries, we'll set them to the same hub.

The steps are also described here:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/A360-Team-Contract-Assignment-Workflow.html (only the Branding is wrong, just read 'Fusion Team' where A360 Team is written)

Step 1) Choose contract #1 and click 'assign'

Step 2) If there are any hubs listed under 'choose Hub' then choose that one. Otherwise, go for the last option 'Don't have a hub' to create a new one.

Step 3) Choose contract # 2 and click assign

Step 4) Use 'choose Hub' to assign the contract to the SAME HUB as the one you chose/created in step 2

Now you've associated both contracts (of 1 seat each) to the same Team hub.

So kudos to you and many thanks again.

But I wonder if the management page has to be so difficult to navigate that even the AutoDesk support staff don't get it. (You should see the email I received). Where I lost the plot was the attachment of the licence to the Hub vs. applying the right to use that licence to a specific user. In fact I still don't understand why a licence has to be attached to a particular hub...
