topic Will Not Post G0 (Rapids) When Using GRBL Post-Processor in Fusion Support Forum

Hi,

Since the new Fusion 360 update whenever I post using GRBL post processor the rapids are not being posted. The feedrate is staying the same as my cutting feedrate. I have tried using High Feedrate Mode to rectify the issue and this has not done anything. I did not have this problem before one of the more recent updates. I am trying to preform a large toolpath and the absence of rapids is moving my machine time from 3 to 7 hours which is killing me as I have to machine 8 of these operations.

One weird thing that is occurring is the machine will rapid to the start of the toolpath and to g53 at the end, but no rapids in-between??

Please help.

-Dylan

If you are on a Personal Entitlement, there have been a number of changes to this license. You can read about the details here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Fusion-360-Free-License-Changes.html

Wow. What a ridiculous thing to remove from personal use. Obviously the rationale behind this decision is wrong. Lighter machines make smaller cuts (optimal load) so there is denser tool paths and more rapid moves during adaptive strategies. Also federates are lower on lighter machines. Meaning that having rapids is more important on lighter machines then industrial ones. Obviously I am an example of this since I am running this cam on a $3k cnc router. The poorest mans cnc. Feels a lot like autodesk is pressing people for subscriptions on software that it offered people for free and that they learned and loved.
