I can no longer export a file

I haven;t been able to export a file from the app in weeks now. The app will stop responding. I have to close it through task manager and get the file from web.

Welcome to the Community. I'm sorry you're having trouble. Is this happening with the same file, or with all files? Did this start when you updated Fusion? Now for the easy question, have you tried restarting (log out and log back in) Fusion to see if it clears the problem?

It started a few weeks ago after an update, I was hoping another update would solve it.

As soon as I try to export a file in the app itself, the program hangs and no longer responds. My files in the program do no longer show an example either. When I try to delete something, program hangs.

Also my recent files hangs on loading and program crashes when I try to delete it in the app.

I can save something, but have to download it again from web.

I have tried removing the program and reinstalling it.

I cleared all cache

I manually removed app data.

I removed all data from my admin folder hoping to start from scratch.

At this very moment I once again removed Fusion360, cleared cache and try to install it again,

This same lock up behavior is happening to multiple people on this board. It seems to be related to exporting STEP or STL files or importing STEP files. It seems completely unrelated to the model being used (happens with just a simple box). It persists through complete uninstall/reinstall of fusion.

I was able to get past the issue by putting Fusion into Offline Mode but even that doesn't seem to work every time.

@OopsieP77GL @This image shows that Fusion subscription has expired for you. Did you have a commercial entitlement prior to it expiring or some other entitlement?

I did a clean install of Fusion yesterday and confirmed it's on the newest version (2.0.20460 x86_64), but the issue persists.

@OopsieP77GL @If the license is expired we don’t not allow many things inside Fusion. Save and export included.

@OopsieP77GL Apologies, my bad. I did not look at the image properly. It does show that you have 17 days left. So it is not an expired license issue.

However when I took a look at the image again you posted another thing caught my eye. None of the files that you have in the my recent has a thumbnail image.

For the files that you are using what is your workflow to create them? Did you create each file from scratch or are you importing/ uploading the file?

Like @OopsieP77GL I am not getting thumbnails on any of the items in my workshop. Every one of these designs originated in Fusion on the same computer I'm currently using:

As well, there is a design that I have deleted and does not exist in my account online but Fusion still shows it as trying to "upload" and never finishing (it's been like this for weeks):

Considering that I've uninstalled Fusion and deleted every Autodesk folder on my machine that I could find, I'm not entirely sure where it's even getting that.

It certainly seems like there is some network related issue going on, especially since the Save As Mesh bug can be worked around by going to "Working Offline".

I make them from scratch but also insert mesh from my computer or upload to the cloud, Download it as mesh and insert it again in another thing.

I also think it's a problem with the network.

@OopsieP77GL At least all the documents I see in your image has only 1 version to it. Can you run a simple test for me?

1. Close Fusion
2. Restart your machine
3. Restart your wifi router if that is possible
4. Launch Fusion
5. Create a new design with a very simple box in it or anything simple
6. Save it
Do you see a thumbnail in the data panel?
7. Now export this design
Does the export complete ?

We will go from here to see what direction to go next.

@jpk5z Can you please do the below to see if that one document that is still uploading goes away?

Launch Fusion
Go Offline (manual switch)
Close Fusion
Delete the %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options\<User ID>\login__ActiveDocuments file (OR) \AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options\<user ID> login__ActiveDocuments file
Launch Fusion
Editable Document list should be empty
Mark a single document editable
Go Online

Closed my Fusion.

Restarted computer.

Opened Fusion

created a box and saved it. I see the icon, but the wheel keep turning.

Exporting as STL

Hanging.
