topic Error: Unsupported speed-feed synchronization activation command in Fusion Support Forum

Hello,

Tonight I was doing a test for the first time with rigid tapping. Just drilling a hole with subsequent tapping. Simulation in Fusion360 is fine. However, when generating the G-code I got an "Error: Unsupported speed-feed synchronization activation command".

Research reveals that some post-processors expand all cycles and do not support spindle direction changes or synchronized speed-feed commands. An example of this can be seen when posting rigid tapping operations. Apparently, my post processor does not support this direction change.

Currently, I use the Generic Axiom Autopro processor (12902_Axiom Autopro RichAutoA11_m3x).

Would anybody know what an alternative post-processor for an Axiom CNC could be?

Thank you very much

Hi @Anonymous ,

Does your machine support rigid tapping?

If so, I would be curious to know what the code looks like.

Thanks,

Will

Hi will_1,

The post-processor I used did not support tapping. The RS274 does. However, you hit the proverbial nail on the head. Yesterday, I learned that my machine does not support rigid tapping.

The workaround will be that I will drill the holes with the CNC and add the thread with manual tapping. Now designing a tool that will ensure the tapping tool will be perpendicular to the holes that need to be tapped.

Thanks for your input
