Thank you.
I work mainly with pipes, umps, heat exchangers… big assemblies.
I found it convenient to work parametric (wih time line) forsmall subcomponents.
But for big assemblies it is more convenient to work “direct” (without time line).

This is just as a feedback to the Fusion 360 development team.

Thank you.
Ilan Shalem

Hi,

I have a multi component (multi parts/objects)

one component which is somewhere deepin another componentt is "grounded"

I can't move or rotate the whole main component unles I unground the grounded small part.

I I select all components in the browser and I choose "unground" it reverses, i.e. all components that were free are now grounded and all components that were grounded are nor=w unground.e

maybe it is a bug in Fusion 360?

Is there a way to unground all? or to find all or a grounded component?

Hi,

Is there a reason for grounding (e.g. movement joints)?
If not, I would change the corresponding component to unground.

günther

Please share the file.

File > export > save as f3d locally > attach it to the next post.

this is just the way Fusion works. Ground/unground is actually a single command, and is a toggle - as you've noticed, it just flips the current state. So, no, unfortunately, there is no way to "unground everything". Also, it is worth noting that both Ground and Unground in a Parametric design insert a feature in the Timeline. So, if you ground, unground, ground a component, your timeline will contain 3 new features.
