Fusion 360 Tutoring

Hello -

I am located in Henderson, NV and looking for some help in creating a 3D model of the item shown here.

I've spent considerable hours watching tutorials and attempting to do it but can't get over the hump so am looking for someone to tutor me, on-line, to get me started down the right path.

I am working in Windows 10, Fusion version 2.0.8816.

Hey Dave - thanks for your response, not sure how to PM on this platform. Turns out I wasn't real clear on what I need. I am able to sort of cobble something together, but it's not clean and I have no idea how to get from the rough design to adding details, like the doors, windshield, rear prop, etc. Also, as you will see from the attached, I ended up with two bodies and am struggling to merge the two together smoothly. Like I said, I think I need some hands on tutoring. Take a look at the attached, if you will, and if you think getting me past this point, or getting to this point in a better way, is something you are interested in let me know.

Click on my forum name, a window opens, click on the link at the bottom of the window, to commence a PM to me.

New messages are indicated with a green count on this (circled) envelope, to read them, or enter that system.

Seeing as I didn't have the top view, was pretty close. My body was one piece.

I have not done the windscreen, but other details were sketched on the origin plane and extrude cuts are symmetric.

Panel lines are a little more work, Project to Surface then Pipe - cut.

Hey Dave -

Tried to do a PM but of course something happened and I lost it and couldn't attach what I wanted to anyway. Should be attached here, I hope. Made some pretty good progress but never did get the merge between the fuselage and the tail right. Spent a ton of time on it but...….

The final product is a ton of bodies, none of which are properly tied together in any way so it's not really a proper assembly but I learned a lot and will probably start over and try to do it properly.

Let me hear your comments when you have some time - you can PM better than I so you can use that.

If I have some time tomorrow I'll create a screencast of how to make these transitions smoother. However, I can already see that you did not model this in Box View mode.

If you did, the flaws in your model would become immediately apparent as I am sure you'll see in the screenshot.

Appreciate the response - and you are correct in your assumption that I didn't use box mode during modeling, really didn't know about that feature. Haven't seen it used in any of the tutorial videos I've watched and I can see how useful it could be.

Wow - very impressive, guess you've been doing this for awhile. I spent hours fiddling with that shape and never got it right. I'll have to watch it several more times to pick up all the subleties but hopefully I'll be able to recreate what you did.
