Thanks! Yes, I knew they weren't touching and I usually do thicken the form once I get the shape I want. I printed one hat block already solid and one with outside walls about an inch thick.

So, I had actually tried pulling the shaft top up through the hat body, but then didn't know how to get them to join.

I watched your instruction and now I'm going to go back and watch it slowly and try it out. Thank you so much!! Being able to watch an instructional video is the best!! Thank you thank you 😉

I am new to fusion 360, so forgive me in advance if this is a stupid question. I've figured out a lot so far on my own and through the forums, but I cannot find a way to join the two forms I have in my current workspace. None of the modify options will let me work both forms together. I tried copying and pasting the one form into the work area of the other, as suggested in another help to join post I saw, but that doesn't work. What am I missing? I saw one post that said to save the form as an object and then bring it into the other form or something like that...I really didn't understand it so I didn't even try it. I've been trying to make this work now for 5 days lol...please help end my obsessive need to figure things out on my own.

Here's a link to what I've got going: https://a360.co/33JIPuk

I'm trying to attach the "post" form I've created inside the "hat block" form so that when I 3d print it, there's a structure coming down inside the middle to give the block inner support. I tried making the whole block solid, which would be the way I would actually prefer it, but the 3d print would take something like 4 days, literally, and that just seems like a ridiculous amount of time to 3d print something. I know this isn't a 3d print forum, but if anyone has suggestions on how to make an attempt at making things take less time to 3d print, that would be a great bonus! Thanks in advance...I hope I can get this to work soon!

FYI, I was able to convert both forms and tried to combine them in the bodies menus, and I think I was onto something, but I had to break away to do some other work.

Take a look at the Screencast. Please note that I did not know what thickness you wanted the body to be so I used 0.125". You can change this at any time by editing the Thicken feature in the timeline. Your model with a different name is attached.
