Normally I would use joints, but I was doing a quick mockup so sub-components are simply location-positioned.

See video attached. Feel free to message me for a copy of the file.

I expect the new component to look just like the old component, but with a move translation. It doesn't.

I use parameters extensively to generate variations of my design bodies for 3D printing.

When I design a tool(body) to be used to cut out parts of another body it often involves copy/move and patterning the feature. When I change user design parameters there are often errors that I have to go and fix because Fusion 360 can't. Often I will see an error in a pattern feature and the problem is that the move/copy before it is broken because the formulate I entered in the move/copy for translation in the X dimension was not recalculated. Instead the tool is in than location that it had been before I change the parameter and all of its translation fields are empty.

This is broken.

I started to create an example design, but I can list the steps.

1. Create a body.

2. Use move/copy to move it an x distance of 10.

3. in the timeline right click and select edit feature

4. all the fields for the move are blank, so the move will not be updated if parameters used for the translation are changed
