The mesh body you are referring to is an export of the model I made in Fusion. I wouldn't try to simulate an imported model either. But how else would I be able to show anyone the simplicity of the model I'm trying to simulate? On the other hand, why wouldn't an imported .F3D model (that I eventually attached) work in a simulation?

I'm frustrated by the fact that the only solution I read about online is uninstalling and reinstalling Fusion. I shall give that a go, apparently...

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for some hints and feedback. I would've hoped that simulations work out of the box in Fusion 360. Unfortunately, they got the best of me. I've attached the model I've used for the report below. What am I doing wrong?

Cheers,

Paul

sim1 v17: Simulation Model 1 - Study 1 - Static Stress
_____ 2020-12-08 15:45:17 _____

sim1 v17: Simulation Model 1 - Study 1 - Static Stress
_____ 2020-12-08 15:45:18 _____
378 Tetrahedra : 100.0% of elements (100.0% of volume)
Face Angle min: 12.2, max : 120
Dihedral Angle min: 14.4, max : 153
Worst shape ratio : 5 on element 50
Worst aspect ratio : 4.71 on element 50, shortest edge: 0.0018, longest : 0.0114
Lowest collapse ratio : 0.276 on element 373
Worst Jacobian ratio : 1 on element 1
Base mesh: 811 nodes, 378 elements
Solver mesh: 811 nodes, 378 elements
Job has finished with errors.

I would model this natively in Fusion 360 rather than translating a mesh body.

I don't understand the purpose of starting with an imported mesh body?

I actually tried both models. I felt so stuck that I tried everything I could think of before reinstalling... Neither worked before reinstalling, now both models do. I'm just as puzzled by this as I assume you are.

You are correct about the mesh body simulation, though, it doesn't show the stressed areas properly. Thanks for the heads up!
