Ever since the manufacturing models were introduced, they have been giving me problems. I copy similar parts to make new parts and make the needed (usually minor) changes saved as a new part number.

The issue is in updating the CAM, the manufacturing model seldom updates.

If I do a simulation it looks correct, but the on the fly simulation doesn't look right. The tool paths are OK, but the stock looks like the old model.

Is there a way to force the manufacturing model to update?

Thanks.

If you save your model, in the Design Environment, that should do it. If you want, you can also right click on the machining process and re-generate. If you have a particular model that demonstrates this, please attach it so the forum users can troubleshoot it for you.

Saved while in design had no effect. Unprotected and regenerated the tool paths. No effect.

I am unable to share the model as it's a proprietary customer part.

I really cannot tell a lot from a picture, since I cannot see the sequence of events on your update of your mode. I did a short Screencast to show you what I am seeing about updating a Protected toolpath. I apologize for the problems I had sketching the cutline, Screencast really play with your cursor while recording.

Thanks. That's exactly what I did. My block is smaller instead of a corner cut. The tool path does work, just the green "stock" didn't update. It should be the same size as the block as there is no additional stock in the setup. Simulation works fine. Just that green "stock" gets in the way of seeing what you are doing. Especially agravating is the switch to turn it off isn't being displayed. If it was, I'd just turn off the preview until this gets sorted out. Thanks for your time. It's not preventing me from making parts.
