I am using the personal licence. The personal licence is correct for my hobby use.

I have a design that has a large number of small components I would like to be able to put multiple components on a single drawing sheet. It would be possible to fit say 4 components on a single A4 sheet but I can't see any way of doing this or any logical reason why is shouldn't be possible, even for a personal use licence.

Is it possible?

Pete

I tested the process on a Fusion 360 Personal license and it is possible to place multiple components on a single drawing sheet. It is however restricted from creating multiple sheets in the same drawing. Take a look at the Screencast to see the process.

That works perfectly thanks.

The problem I had was all my components had been imported and then assembled rather than drawn in the assembly. I was trying to do drawings from the individual components and then drag more components onto the drawing page.

Thats about my lack of detailed understanding to the Fusion360 paradigm. However, what I was trying to do shouldn't be restricted. If users are moving over then they are likely to want to import individual components and possibly draw them. Maybe something to be considered?

Thanks again

Pete

I sorry you got the impression that you could not use an assembly with Linked Components to place multiple components on one drawing sheet. I just happened to use an assembly that lacked linked components in my first Screencast, in this one, I used a very small subset of the first assembly that used Linked Components to do the same process. Again, this was all done using a Fusion 360 Personal license.

Thanks for the fix John... but unfortunately it seems like the last update with the much trumpetted "intent driven work flows" (or whatever the stream of buzzwords is) has made the above obsolete. I am trying to do exactly the same thing, and I can't find any option to send a second component/body/file whatever to an existing drawing. The only available option is to create a new one.

I have tried following your process above from the individual component files or from within an assembly, and can't find an available option any more.

I have just updated Fusion and I can still do it. The dialogue box has changed but I can still add an additional component to an existing drawing

Pete

I share the same frustration. It's quite bothersome to have to insert the entire assembly each time and begin clicking again. Additionally, combining two unrelated parts onto one sheet is simply not feasible.

Yes, it is different since the Intent Driven Design launched. I had to change my way of creating drawings. Usually in design I chose a component, right clicked and selected "create drawing". Now I need click create drawing from design to bring up the "create drawing dialog box" click one of the options in Contents, select which base document, select my component (if select was chosen in Contents) and click OK. The ultimate goal is to bring up the "Create Drawing" dialog box first, and it can be done in a couple different ways. I created an add in button where I can pin it to the ribbon and grab it quickly, instead of using the drop down at design, or right clicking on a component.
